Jamal Khashoggi Murder
Today, the investigation of Jamal (JUH-mel) Khashoggi’s (KA-SHA-GEES) disappearance is coming to a close as officials gather information on his murder. Khashoggi’s (KA-SHA-GEES) body was most likely chopped up inside the Saudi (SAW-DEE) consulate (CON-suhl-AT) and was removed from the building by truck. The US government has recognized the issue and has sent the US Secretary of State to Turkey to meet with the Turkish Foreign (FOR-ren) Minister to formally acknowledge Khashoggi’s (KA-SHA-GEES) death and recover answers. After asking Turkey for a recording providing evidence, Trump has announced that the truth will come out later this week. Turkish officer, Adam Kaya (Kay-YA) explains:
START: OFFICER KAYA
TIME: 14
OUT:”....THAT GOT OUT OF HAND.”
Because of the growing suspicion, the Saudi (SAW-DEE) government has made a forced statement. Officials state that Khashoggi’s (KA-SHA-GEES) murder was an accident and was caused by an interrogation (IN-tar-i-GAY-shun) that got out of hand.
